Quality Assurance

We work with companies across a broad range of sectors to implement, maintain and improve their quality assurance systems and quality control methodologies. These efforts can and often lead to certification of the QMS against one or more standards.

QMS | Quality Management Systems

For any business, the benefits of having standardised processes, structure and systems as appropriate for the business are vast. The levels you go to are dictated by the size of your organisation and the sector you operate in and the organisations culture. Formal quality management systems are the foundations for most other systems to flourish, whether these are technical and operational, HR or sales and marketing, a well designed and embedded QMS will benefit everyone in the organisation.

Quality Standards

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system. It can be used by any organisation, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact, there are over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries certified to ISO 9001.

This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. These principles are explained in more detail in ISO’s quality management principles. Using ISO 9001 helps ensure that customers get consistent, good-quality products and services, which in turn brings many business benefits.

ISO 26000:2010 provides guidance rather than requirements, so it cannot be certified to unlike some other well-known ISO standards. Instead, it helps clarify what social responsibility is, helps businesses and organisations translate principles into effective actions and shares best practices relating to social responsibility, globally. It is aimed at all types of organisations regardless of their activity, size or location.

The standard was launched in 2010 following five years of negotiations between many different stakeholders across the world. Representatives from government, NGOs, industry, consumer groups and labour organisations around the world were involved in its development, which means it represents an international consensus.
